2. As indicated in t'e enclosed despatches,

representations have recently been made to mo b the

Owners of 3 vessels the Baaters of which had been prose-

cuted and fined under Bootion 12 of Ordinance No.124

although it was admitted that they had no knowledig that diruga wore being imported on their ships and it was not sugested that they had omitted to exercise reasonable

supervision. In each case, at my susation the fire d

were remitted.
